BUNKER SURVEY SERVICES
(CHARTER PARTY / LEGAL TECHNICAL FORMAT)
We provide independent bunker survey services for the determination and verification of onboard quantities of Fuel Oil (HFO/MFO), Diesel Oil (MGO/MDO), and Lubricating Oil (LO), in accordance with prevailing marine surveying standards and applicable Charter Party provisions.
These surveys are performed during vessel delivery and redelivery (on-hire/off-hire conditions), as well as in the event of disputes, claims, or upon request of Owners, Charterers, Operators, or other contracted parties.
The scope of work includes sounding/ullage measurements of all relevant tanks, verification of temperature and density where applicable, application of recognized volume correction factors, and reconciliation of recorded ROB (Remaining On Board) quantities.
All operations are conducted on an independent and impartial basis, ensuring that the surveyor acts solely as a third-party verifier without commercial interest in the transaction.
Upon completion of the survey, a Bunker Survey Certificate and/or detailed Survey Report is issued, including calculations, tank-by-tank breakdown, observed data, and final reconciled quantities, suitable for contractual, operational, and dispute resolution purposes under Charter Party agreements.
The final documentation may be used as supporting evidence in demurrage calculations, off-hire assessments, claims handling, or any related commercial settlement between the contracting parties.
