Marine Pollution Survey
Following an allegation or incident of marine pollution, MP International Inspection conducts an independent assessment to determine the facts surrounding the event and evaluate the vessel’s compliance with applicable environmental protection requirements.
Our Marine Pollution Survey services include:
- Inspection and verification of the vessel’s marine pollution prevention procedures.
- Examination of pollution prevention equipment and its operational condition.
- Investigation of the alleged pollution incident and collection of relevant evidence.
- Sampling of water, oil, cargo residues, or other substances where required.
- Assessment of sea conditions and environmental circumstances at the location of the alleged pollution.
- Documentation of observations, findings, photographs, and supporting evidence.
- Preparation of an independent survey report for shipowners, operators, P&I Clubs, insurers, charterers, legal representatives, and relevant authorities.
The purpose of the survey is to establish an accurate and impartial record of the circumstances, assist in determining potential liability, and provide reliable technical evidence for dispute resolution and regulatory compliance.
